Goal
The first round of testing aims to understand the desirability and basic users’ preference for visual style, discover the underlying usability issues by inviting users
to try out the product and sharing thoughts, in order to provide insights for design iterations. The entire flow is the key focus point.
20 real-world users were recruited. 5 testing tasks were designed based on end-to-end user flow. I paired with my colleagues conducting the online interview. The post- interview questionnaire was created based on PSSUQ (Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire).
Priority Ranking of Experience Problem
Sort 13 types of experience problems according to [customer - business impact] degree, and filter out high-priority problems.
Design Goal Setting
Based on the summarized user characteristics, experience issues and expectations, four product design opportunities are abstracted to guide subsequent overall design (interaction and visual, etc.)
11 participants were recruited based on the client current Persona of the brand. In order to understand deeper about the end-users feature prioritization and future iterations, 2 Personas and 1 Anti-Persona were created.
The MVP version of the admin portal include 4 key pages: admin login, user profile list, user profile detail, and trail lenses application list. The quick construction was based on the Ant Design components.
I’m responsible for the requirement definition, component usage check, interaction design showcase, etc.
In a small Agile team of 11 peoples, we work closely and break the product into MVP function lists by using User Story cards. Kanban was created in Jira.
As the UX lead in the team, I orchestrate seamless communication between our team, project managers, and client product owner team, ensuring alignment of development goals and addressing new requirements. Pairing with a UX intern, we completed the details of the interface interactions, established a comprehensive design component system, and designed back-end admin portal interfaces.
In addition to developing mini-programs and a web admin-end portal, I spearheaded the creation of a mini design component system. This provides a comprehensive view of component usage for development, facilitating seamless iterations for future product enhancements.
